The Finnish Supervisory Agency is a national, multi-sectoral government authority responsible for licensing and permits, supervision, registration, enforcement, and guidance tasks across various fields.
The competence of the Finnish Supervisory Agency is nationwide. This will ensure uniform practices across Finland. The Agency operates in close interaction with central government authorities, municipalities, wellbeing services counties, businesses and civic activities.

- healthcare and social welfare
- occupational safety and health
- early childhood education and care, education and culture
- environmental issues
