A building permit or other official approval is required for nearly all construction work.

There must always be a particular reason for deviations. The deviation may not interfere with other uses of the area, or cause damage to nature.

If soil material usage is extensive, it must be reported. Local municipalities are responsible for guiding and supervising the extraction of soil.

In a local detailed plan area, the owner or holder of land must apply for a permit for construction work altering the landscape, tree-felling, etc.

If events that cause disruption to nature, residents and recreation are organised over natural terrain, a permit for them must be applied for.

A permit from the municipal environmental authorities is usually required for all competitions and practising carried out with motorised watercraft.

Even if no permit is required for the demolition, the building supervisory authority must be notified 30 days before the start of the work.

Permits for using or renting streets and green areas for exceptional purposes must be sought from the municipality.
