Jakobstad, located next by the sea in Ostrobothnia, is a charming little town full of tradition and with good connections. The railway, port and airport serve both local residents and businesses and contribute to the city’s vitality and international atmosphere.
Jakobstad (approx. 20 000 inhabitants) is just the right size, large enough to provide all necessary services, but at the same time so small that it is easy to make your voice heard. The inviting old town and the largely renovated city centre are saturated with a lively, bilingual atmosphere. The bilingual city has two names: Jakobstad in Swedish and Pietarsaari in Finnish.
