Aid for fisheries (European Maritime and Fisheries Fund, EMFF)

Companies and organisations operating in the fisheries sector may apply for support from the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund, for example for development and investments related to fishing, aquaculture, fish processing and maritime policy, as well as for the management of waters and fish stocks.

Submit your application for support in the Hyrrä e-service.

You may use Hyrrä on behalf of a company or organisation, or log in as a private individual. To act on behalf of a company or organisation, you must have a right based on registry data or an authorisation to act on behalf of the entity. These details are verified through the Suomi.fi authorisation service. To log in, you need personal online banking credentials, a mobile certificate or an electronic identity card.

Applying for payment

Once you have started the project and incurred costs, apply for payment in the Hyrrä e-service.

To whom and on what terms

Aid from the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund is granted to companies and organisations operating in the fisheries sector. Replacement investments are not eligible for aid, except for engine replacement.

To receive aid, the applicant must also meet the general eligibility requirements and the measure-specific selection criteria. More information is available on the Maritime and Fisheries website.
