Application for a long-term resident’s EU residence permit for third-country nationals

Use this application to apply for a long-term resident’s EU residence permit (P-EU permit) if:
- you are a third-country national (citizen of a country other than a Member State of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland) and
- you meet the P-EU permit requirements.
You can also apply for a P-EU permit for a child who is under 18 years of age and of whom you have custody. ...
Do the following
- Make sure you meet the requirements for the residence permit you are applying for.
- Make sure you have all the attachments needed for the application and that they are up to date. If necessary, have them translated and legalised.
- Fill in your application in the online service Enter Finland or use a paper application form.
- Pay for your application in the e-service Enter Finland or at a service point of the Finnish Immigration Service.
- Book an appointment at a service point of the Finnish Immigration Service.
- Wait for a decision. The Finnish Immigration Service will contact you if necessary.
Period of validity
The EU residence permit is valid until further notice.
