There are 13 carpet washing sites in the Rovaniemi area that are connected to the sewer system and equipped with a carpet wringer.
Some sites use water from the water supply network but most use river water.
All washing sites are equipped with a carpet wringer and drying racks.
You can drive close to each site by car.

The carpet washing sites are freely available for everyone to use.
There is no limit to the number of users, but during busy times, you may need to wait for your turn.
There is no separate guidance provided on how to use the washing sites. If you are new to the site, you can ask for help from others and also offer help if needed e.g. when lifting heavy rugs, using carpet wringers.
The sites are equipped with washing tubs, carpet wringers, drying racks and parking areas. Remember to bring your own cleaning supplies and equipment with you.

Carpet washing sites are freely available for everyone to use.
Sites that use river water are opened for the season as soon as the spring flood has receded.
It is not allowed to bring dogs to the carpet washing sites.
