A dog park is a fenced area where dogs are allowed off-leash.
The dog park in Lainaanpuisto (city centre) has separate areas for large and small dogs. Both areas have cleanable sand surfaces, lighting, and waste bins.
In the Ounasrinne neighbourhood, the dog park has a natural forest floor and is equipped with a waste bin.

If bags are missing or a dispenser is broken, please contact the maintenance team using the contact information provided on the dispenser.
Dog park rules:
- Keep your dog off-leash inside the fenced area.
- Do not throw sticks, stones, toys or snowballs – they may cause accidents.
- Make sure barking does not disturb nearby residents between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.
- Keep the area clean. Pick up dog waste and use the bins provided.
- Always keep the gate closed.
To whom and on what terms
Do not bring unvaccinated, sick, aggressive, or female dogs in heat to the park. You are responsible for your dog.
