You can apply for a position in the municipality’s early childhood care via eDaisy service. You can apply all year round when you need it. You can also apply for an early childhood care position in private daycares via eDaisy.
Early childhood care positions are always arranged according to the need for the service, which is identified when applying for the early childhood care.
The organisation time is 2 weeks in case of a sudden employment or studies, otherwise it is 4 months. The application for early childhood care must also be valid for parents, who are unemployed job seekers.
If you apply for an early childhood care position for your child in a private daycare centre or private family daycare, you can apply for a service voucher from the municipality or private care allowance from Kela.
To whom and on what terms
Early childhood education and care may be given to a child who has not reached the age of compulsory education.
Early childhood education and care may also be given to a child who has already reached the age of compulsory education if special circumstances so require and care cannot be otherwise arranged.
