Applying for the status of authorised CBAM declarant (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism)

In 2026, the import of goods covered by the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism will be subject to authorisation, at which time the import of CBAM goods will require the status of authorised CBAM declarant.

You can apply for the status of authorised CBAM declarant in the Commission’s CBAM Registry. The link to the CBAM Registry is available on Customs webpages for e-services.
