To whom and on what terms
Handyman and yard services are intended for anyone who needs help with home and yard maintenance. The service can be provided VAT-free if the client has a functional limitation that prevents them from completing the tasks independently. Eligibility for VAT exemption does not depend on age but is assessed by a professional during the consultation visit.
The service is eligible for a household tax credit according to the guidelines of the Finnish Tax Administration if paid privately. Note that the credit cannot be claimed for work covered, for example, by a service voucher. Depending on the practices of your wellbeing services county, it may also be possible to apply for a service voucher to cover the costs.
