You can start your health check digitally by completing the Health Check in the Omaolo service, after which you can contact your health centre if necessary. Alternatively, you can contact your health station by phone.

Background information

If your health or functional capacity has deteriorated with age, you may undergo an elderly person’s health examination at a health and social services centre. The health examination for elderly people includes a basic health examination. It can also include an assessment of the elderly person’s memory, mental health, functional capacity and ability to cope independently at home.

If a health examination reveals that the client needs support for living at home or care outside the home, the physician will refer the client to a service need assessment. Together with the client and those important to them, social services experts consider how the older person could receive the services they need.
