During the consultation, we will review the client’s service needs together and agree on the practical arrangements to ensure a smooth start.
Home care for people with memory disorders can be purchased privately or with a service voucher, depending on the decision of your wellbeing services county.
To whom and on what terms
Home care for people with memory disorders is intended for clients with memory disorders and their families who need support with daily tasks at home or outside the home.
The service can be provided VAT-exempt if the client has a functional limitation that prevents managing the services independently. Eligibility for VAT exemption does not depend on age but is assessed by a professional during the consultation visit.
The service is eligible for a household tax credit in accordance with the Finnish Tax Administration’s guidelines, if paid privately. Please note that the credit cannot be claimed for the same work if it is covered, for example, by a service voucher. In addition, the client or their family may apply for a service voucher from their wellbeing services county to cover the costs, depending on local practices.
