Start of operations:
When you plan to start operations, contact the authority of the municipality where you intend to operate.
Change of operation:
Notify the municipality as soon as possible. Attach the necessary documents and submit them to the municipality's registry office.
Cessation of operations:
Notify the municipality as soon as possible.
Starting a private early childhood education and care service or changing operations
- Fill in the form "Permit application for the provision of or change in a private early childhood education and care service".
- Apply to become a private early childhood education and care service provider in Turku in the Service Voucher and Purchased Service System PSOP if you have not already done so. See the instructions for applying.
- Submit the form through the PSOP system to the City of Turku's education authority.

Terminating a private early childhood education and care service
- Complete the form "Notification concerning the termination of the service provider's operation".
- Submit the form through the PSOP system to the City of Turku's education authority.
To whom and on what terms
Start and change of provision of privare family day care must comply with the Act on Early Childhood Education and Care.
If a person carrying on a trade is located in another country within the European Economic Area and provides services in Finland on a temporary basis, they need a similar licence as persons carrying on a trade located in Finland.
Providers of private early childhood education and care services commit to fulfilling the statutory obligations set for early childhood education and care at any given time.
Deadline
A notification of provision or change of private family day care must be submitted well in advance.
