The holder of an area may order an inspection of an area free of wild oat once they have repelled the wild oat from an area that is in the wild oat register following the instructions or plan.

Do the following
Order an inspection of an area free of wild oat from the municipality’s Rural Livelihood Authority in connection with submitting the application for area-based subsidies or with a free-form application.
If the inspector did not detect wild oat in the area in the first year, you do not need to order an inspection again in the second year.

To whom and on what terms
If the trader is established in another EEA state and provides services in Finland on a temporary basis, they are required to have the same permits as the traders established in Finland.
The inspection cannot be carried out if
- oat, turnip rape, oilseed rape, mustard, rye, caraway, potato, pea, broad bean, hemp, maize or grassland is cultivated on the basic field or the field is fallow
- wild oats control has been carried out on the field (includes weeding by hand)
- the field has been mowed or is severely lodged
Deadline
It is advisable to order an inspection of an area free of wild oats in connection with the application for agricultural subsidies, i.e., by June 9. It can also be ordered in free form without a time limit.
