Use this application to apply for a permanent residence permit for a child if:
- the child is under 18 years of age and
- you are the child’s parent or guardian or other legal representative.
You can only apply for a permanent residence permit in Finland.

Do the following
- Make sure you meet the requirements for the residence permit you are applying for.
- Make sure you have all the attachments needed for the application and that they are up to date. If necessary, have them translated and legalised.
- Fill in your application in the online service Enter Finland or use a paper application form.
- Pay for your application in the e-service Enter Finland or at a service point of the Finnish Immigration Service.
- Book an appointment at a service point of the Finnish Immigration Service.
- Wait for a decision. The Finnish Immigration Service will contact you if necessary.
Period of validity
The permanent residence permit is valid until further notice.
