To whom and on what terms
Personal assistance is intended for anyone who needs support with daily tasks at home or outside the home.
The service can be provided VAT-exempt if the client has a functional limitation that prevents managing the services independently. Eligibility for VAT exemption does not depend on age but is assessed by a professional during the consultation visit.
The service is eligible for a household tax credit in accordance with the Finnish Tax Administration’s guidelines, if paid privately. Please note that the credit cannot be claimed for the same work if it is covered, for example, by a service voucher.
