You can go to a shelter at any time of the day if you are experiencing violence or the threat of violence at home.
The shelter is open to anyone in need of help, not only those with children. Women, men and non-binary persons are welcome at the shelter alone or with their children.
Background information
You can stay at the shelter for the time required by your crisis, usually from a few days to a few months.
In addition to mental support and counselling, the shelter provides assistance in organising practical matters, such as housing or a restraining order. Help is also available for perpetrators of violence.
