The purpose of social lending is to help people avoid economic problems and over-indebtedness and to support them in coping independently with spending. Social loans will not affect your ability to receive social assistance.

Social lending ranges from EUR 500 to EUR 10,000. The maximum repayment period is 5 years.

You can get credit for such things as

- home purchases, such as furnitur ...

Do the following

To whom and on what terms

You can be granted a social loan if:

- you have no possibilities for accessing other reasonable credit.

- your municipality of residence is in our wellbeing services county.

- you have no more than EUR 10,000 in debts. A home loan, student loan and car loan may be excluded from social loans at the discretion of the granting authority.

- your solvency is sufficient to repay the credit.

- your financial situation must be well-established and your indebtedness must end.

You cannot receive a social loan if:

- the conditions for granting social loans are not met.

- you have insufficient funds to repay the credit. For example, Kela’s basic social assistance or minimum benefits do not create sufficient funds.

- your income or expenditure varies.

- in addition to the social loan, you would be left with other outstanding debts. (We examine housing loans, student loans and car loans on a case-by-case basis).

- you move out of our wellbeing services county.

- you have non-basic assets that you can sell.

- you have a valid debt arrangement for a private person, a guarantee from the Guarantee Foundation for the arrangement of loans or a previous social loan.

- you have an active gambling or substance addiction.
