A notification of an epidemic caused by household water, pool water or beach water, or a suspected epidemic, must be submitted immediately when it is noticed.
Anyone can report a waterborne epidemic or suspect waterborne epidemic.
Report a health hazard caused by domestic water, pool water or bathing water or its suspicion immediately to Turku Environmental Health.
Do the following
Report the epidemic caused by water or its suspicion to the municipal health protection authority immediately.
Include in the notification at least
- if the suspicion concerns domestic, pool or beach water
- where the suspected epidemic is located
- what makes you think this is a waterborne epidemic.
If a suspected health hazard is related to your own food sector company, submit a notification in the ilppa notification service.
- If you fall ill from drinking water or suspect that there is something wrong with the quality of domestic water, pool water or bathing water, contact Turku Environmental Health. You can also report the suspicion in the electronic ilppa notification service.
- If the waterborne health hazard or suspected health hazard is related to your food business, report it in the electronic ilppa notification service.
To whom and on what terms
If a person carrying on a trade is located in another country within the European Economic Area and provides services in Finland on a temporary basis, they are subject to the same obligations as a trader established in Finland.
