Certificates used for signing Suomi.fi e-Identification SAML messages will change in the spring 2026

The certificates used for signing Suomi.fi e-Identification SAML messages will be changed as the current certificates expire.

The certificates will be changed during April and May. 

Changing the certificate requires changes to e-services that use Suomi.fi e-Identification.

Metadata containing the new certificate will be published well in advance. The certificate change will first take place in the Suomi.fi e-Identification testing environment so that the e-services can test the introduction of the new certificate.

Also the idp-metadata signing certificate will be changed.

We will provide a more detailed schedule for the change in March.
