Organisations using Suomi.fi Messages, please note the following when sending mail to a person under guardianship or a person who has prepared a continuing power of attorney!

From now on, it will be easier for guardians to act on behalf of their client. A guardian and an attorney can use Suomi.fi Messages on behalf of their client if the client has activated the service.
Do the following if your organisation sends mail to a person under guardianship
Although a guardian or an attorney may have access to their client’s mailbox, it is nevertheless advisable to send matters covered by a guardianship order or continuing power of attorney to both parties separately.
In other words, if you send messages via Suomi.fi Messages to a person who is under guardianship or has prepared a continuing power of attorney, please always ensure that the matter is brought to the attention of the person’s guardian or attorney separately.
