The deployment of Suomi.fi e-Identification is on a summer break in July 2026

The Suomi.fi e-Identification deployment support and metadata updates are on a break in July 2026.

During July (weeks 28 - 31), metadata for new e-services is not added, and metadata for current e-services is not updated. The SAML certificates in the metadata will not be updated either. No deployment support is available in July. If metadata needs to be updated, or new e-services need to be connected to Suomi.fi e-identification before the summer break, the necessary information must be submitted via Service Management at the latest on Sunday 28 June 2026. The last production installation before the break takes place on Wednesday 1 July. In case your SAML certificate expires before the beginning of August, the metadata containing the new SAML certificate must be submitted to the Finnish Digital Agency (FDA) by 28 June.

After the summer break, the next production installation takes place on August 5th. The necessary information must be submitted via Service Management at the latest on Sunday 2 August 2026.

After the summer, production environment metadata installations will continue as normal

• Apply for the access licence well in advance.
• All changes must be submitted no later than Sunday of the previous week. All metadata submitted after this date will be included in the following week’s installation.
• Dynamic metadata of the production environment is checked early in the week.
• Metadata production installation is carried out on Wednesdays at 9.00
