Use the e-service primarily.
Signing into the service requires strong authentication. You will need either a bank ID, a mobile certificate or a certificate card.
If you cannot use the e-service, you can use printable forms. Irrespective of the location, submit the application form to the registry of the Economic Development Centre of Inner Finland (P.O. BOX 40, FI-00072 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CENTRE, FINLAND) When using this application method, a separate processing fee is charged in addition to the actual permit fee.
Fill in the application form carefully.
Before applying for a permit, you must also obtain the following attachments:
- a copy of the road maintenance authority’s (local Economic Development Centre’s) consultation of the owner of the neighbouring property
- a certificate of the permission to build (an urban area development land, a planning decision or other evidence)
- site layout showing the location of the buildings/constructions on the site and their distance from the centre line of the road
- map indicating the location of the site in relation to the road
If you supplement the application later, email the supplementary information to suoja-aluerakentaminen(at)elinvoimakeskus.fi. Enter the application’s service ID number, file number or the name, municipality and road number of the permit applicant in the subject field of the email.
An incomplete application or missing appendices will slow down the processing of the application.
