Hervanta Leisure Centre has two gyms, a large gym suitable for ball sports and several facilities suitable for martial arts and dance. In addition, the leisure centre has a cafeteria and club rooms that can be rented.

Accessibility information

The sports facilities have two floors.
For moving around, there is a lift, which can hold 2 wheelchairs,; the door opens automatically. The floor numbers in the lift can be felt with fingers. (The minimum dimensions for a stretcher in a lift are width 1.2 m and depth 2.3 m.)
The service point has directions to the different facilities and uses movement-guiding surface material.
There is a heated storage area for wheelchairs and prams next to the entrance.
The facility has an accessible toilet on the entrance floor.
The customer service/cashier's desk is located on the entrance floor.
The customer service/cashier's desk can be found easily. The desk is accessible to customers sitting down or standing.

The dressing rooms are located on the entrance floor.
The facility does not have an accessible dressing room. The men's/women's dressing rooms must be used instead. The door of the dressing room opens easily manually and the doorway has a low threshold.
The dressing room has sufficient room for a wheelchair and assistant. Good illumination and clear contrasts facilitate spatial perception. There are no lockers in the dressing room.
The shower room is connected to the men's/women's dressing room. The door of the shower room opens easily manually.
The facility also has a gender-neutral changing room.
The shower room has a more spacious and accessible showering spot with a seat and armrest as well as a support railing.
The facility does not have a sauna.

In the multipurpose sports facility, you can engage in sports such as aerobics, badminton, basket ball, boxing, dancing, floorball, gym exercise, martial arts, rhythmic gymnastics, volleyball.
The sides of the sports facilities/fields feature room for moving aids. The sides of some fields have room for storing aids.
The height of the passageways in the multi-purpose arena is appropriate. There are not enough wall sockets and they are not on a suitable height (0.4–1.1 meters). . The alarm system (fire alarm) works with a sound signal. The personnel helps with the building of the courts, when present (e.g. temporary tape markings for parasports).

The sports facility features a spectators' seating area which has stairs. The seats have been highlighted from their surroundings with contrast.
The seating area features 4 accessible spots suitable for a wheelchair, which are located in the front row. The accessible spots provide an unobstructed view of the event. The seating area features separate seats in addition to the fixed ones.
There is sufficient room by the accessible spots for wheelchairs to pass each other.
A wheelchair lift is available for accessing the accessible section of the seating area.

The multi-purpose arena has facilities for a variety of parasports, such as sitting volleyball.
Sitting volleyball: The passageway to the sitting volleyball space is at least 1.3 meters wide and it includes a door that opens with a motion sensor and a low threshold. Tape markings are allowed on floor of the sports area. The height of the net can be adjusted independently men (1150 mm) and women (1050 mm). There is 3 meters of space outside the field and room for storage of a regular wheelchair / powerchair, but also for several players with assistive devices. There is a resting place for guide dogs and assistance dogs near the playing field. There is also storage space for sports equipment in the sports area.
In addition to sitting volleyball, the facility can also be used for wheelchair basketball, wheelchair dance, and power wheelchair floorball.
