Kaukajärvi Leisure Centre, which was completed at the turn of the 1970s, has two gyms that are available when there are no reservations.

Sports facility caretakers

The sports facilities have two floors.
The service point has directions to the different facilities.
The facility has a toilet marked as accessible on the entrance floor. The requirements for accessibility are not met, as one or both sides of the toilet seat lack a support rail.
The customer service/cashier's desk is located on the entrance floor.
The customer service/cashier's desk can be found easily. The desk is accessible to customers standing only.

The dressing rooms are located on floor 0.
Dressing rooms are also located on floor -1.
The facility does not have an accessible dressing room. The men's/women's dressing rooms must be used instead. The door of the dressing room opens easily manually.
The dressing room has sufficient room for a wheelchair and assistant. Good illumination and clear contrasts facilitate spatial perception. There are no lockers in the dressing room.
The shower room is connected to the men's/women's dressing room. The door of the shower room opens easily manually.
Shared changing rooms for all genders at street level, no showers. In the downstairs separate men’s and women’s changing rooms and showers, no elevator.
The facility does not have a sauna.

The door of the gym opens easily by hand. Unobstructed mobility with a wheelchair or other aids is not possible in the gym. Some of the equipment can be used from a wheelchair. The equipment is within everyone's reach (storage height 0.8-1.2 m).
Two gyms: one at street level and the other on floor -1. No elevator.
The gym features contrast differences between the floor and wall and between the floor and equipment. There is no glare in the gym.
