Current state and objectives of digital security exercises in national public administration

Practical exercises are an important way to promote digital security.

The implementation and development of practical exercises has been identified as a significant measure in all vital digital and cyber security policies, including

• the Security Strategy for Society and the Cyber Security Strategy
• the resolution on digital security in public administration (as well as its implementation programme, Haukka) and
• the Cybersecurity Strategy Development Programme, which is still in its draft phase.

The state and development needs of the exercises were surveyed and assessed for the report on the state of digital security exercises in public administration (09/2020). On the basis of this report, a document was prepared on the objectives and measures of national digital security exercises for public administration (03/2021).
