Lifecycle of the service

Deployment of the service

A client organisation can start using the Registers section of the Suomi.fi Web Service by joining the Suomi.fi Data Exchange Layer and connecting its basic register or customer information system to it. Deployment happens through the Service Management website.

The deployment of the Registers section requires a licence to the Suomi.fi Web Service and a description of the content that will be displayed.

Presenting data in the Registers section may require modifications to the client organisation’s interfaces. Organisations also need a Security Server to connect to the Data Exchange Layer. The client organisation is responsible for the costs resulting from the deployment of the service and the costs arising from its use in so far as the costs concern their own systems and security servers.

Maintenance of the service

The client organisation is responsible for

• the correctness and maintenance of register data displayed in the Web Service with regard to the organisation’s data and
• descriptions of the organisation’s registers connected to the Web Service.

The Digital and Population Data Services Agency is responsible for

• service provision
• descriptions related to the service
• service maintenance
• service development and
• user support.

The Digital and Population Data Services Agency and the client organisation are both responsible for logs.

Changes to the service

Any changes to the service will be announced to client organisations in accordance with the contact information provided by them. The Digital and Population Data Services Agency has no obligation to notify on matters that do not affect the service the client organisation has connected to the Data Exchange Layer.

Termination of the service

The service can be terminated in accordance with the service termination procedure described in the Suomi.fi Web Service terms of use.
