After you have joined the Suomi.fi Data Exchange Layer, remember to maintain and look after your services and security servers. Remember to maintain and update both your test and production environments. You should also remember to notify the administrators of the Data Exchange Layer of any changes to your contact information and keep your service descriptions up to date in the API CatalogueOpens in a new window.. This way, your services will always remain available and operational.

The maintenance includes the following areas:

Administrative maintenance 

• Keep your contact information up to date
• Provide your maintenance routines with enough resources
• Support the customers who use your services
• Maintain your descriptions in the API Catalogue

Technical maintenance

• Monitor your security servers
• Ensure that you have sufficient disk space
• Remember to install any version updates
• Ensure that applying for and renewing Data Exchange Layer certificates is handled as part of ongoing maintenance
• Duplicate your security server whenever necessary
