How to invite a new user to your organisation
Each new user in your organisation must be sent a separate invitation email so that they can join Suomi.fi Service Management. The invitation functionality differs slightly depending on whether you are an administrator or user of your organisation.
You can invite a new user from your organisation’s user management. You will be able to go to user management from the service’s front page.

- Define the user's role. An administrator (Admin) has the right to define and modify the roles and rights of other users in Service Management.
- Send the invitation The invited user will receive the invitation via email. They can use the link in the email to register as a Service Management user and join your organisation.
- Once the person you invited has registered as a Service Management user, you must grant them the rights they need for using Suomi.fi services. These services include the Suomi.fi Finnish Service Catalogue, Identification Services and Authorisations.
As a user, you can also invite new users to join your organisation. The only difference is that you will not be able to define the invited user’s role while creating the invitation. You can invite a new user from your organisation’s user view. You can see your organisation’s users by selecting ‘Users’ from the service’s main menu.

In Service Management, a user can have a user permit to several organisations. However, the same email address is used for all of them. In Service Management, a user cannot use different email addresses to register as a user in several organisations.
If the invited user has already registered with Service Management and their email address changes, there are three options:
Option 1
- Send the invitation to the email address that the user was previously registered under in Service Management.
- The user can later change the email address to a new one in Service Management.
Option 2
Before being invited to join a new organisation, the user changes their email address to the new one, so that the email can be sent to the new address.
Option 3
- The Service Management administrator of another organisation removes the transferring user from their organisation, which allows the user to register with Service Management again using a different email address.
- Please note that the user must be removed from all organisations where they have been a user for re-registration to be possible.
