How to start using the service
The customer organisation commissions Suomi.fi e-Identification through the Service Management website. To be able to use Suomi.fi e-Identification, the organisation must technically integrate its e-service into Suomi.fi e-Identification. The customer organisation pays its own costs resulting from the technical integration and the administrative commissioning project related to it.
The use of Suomi.fi e-Identification also requires an access licence and a data access authorisation defining what information the e-service needs from the Population Information System.
Customer organisations can test Suomi.fi e-Identification with a test environmentOpens in a new window. which corresponds to the production environment.
Maintenance of the service
The Digital and Population Data Services Agency is responsible for the maintenance of Suomi.fi e-Identification and provides customer support to e-services. The statistics of Suomi.fi e-Identification is published on the Suomi.fi Service Management website.
A client organisation can independently maintain the following data in their e-services:
- details of contact persons
- technical data
- accepted identification tokens.
Advisory service on Suomi.fi servicesOpens in a new window. is responsible for end-user support for Suomi.fi e-Identification.
Changes in the service
Customer organisations will be informed about changes in Suomi.fi e-Identification
- on the Suomi.fi for Service Developers website
- to the email address reported by the client organisation.
The Digital and Population Data Services Agency is not obligated to issue notifications on matters that do not affect the e-service the client organisation has connected to Suomi.fi e-Identification.
Discontinuation of the service
If you want to stop using the service, please submit a request to remove the service and cancel your access license by e-mail.
