How does Service Management differ from the Digital and Population Data Services Agency's e-services?
The Digital and Population Data Services Agency's e-services and Suomi.fi Service Management use the same back-end system for client data. Service Management is targeted towards organisations that want to activate Suomi.fi Services. If you want to log in to Service Management, please go to the Service Management front pageOpens in a new window.. In the Digital and Population Data Services Agency’s e-serviceOpens in a new window., you can submit requests to enable other Digital and Population Data Services Agency services, such as Population Information System products.
A technical SSO solution has been implemented between the Digital and Population Data Services Agency's e-service and Service Management, which means that the same ID and login information are communicated between systems. Therefore, users only need to login once to submit requests related to Population Information System services and to use Service Management. Requests from both services are communicated to the Digital and Population Data Services Agency’s shared back-end system for client data and client management.
The Digital and Population Data Services Agency’s e-service does not use organisation-specific user roles, which means that each e-service user will be able to use the same permissions when acting on behalf of their own organisation. Service Management, on the other hand, has an administrator role and service-specific roles, which allows access rights to be restricted on a service-specific basis. Learn more about how an administrator can manage roles in their organisation through Service Management.
