Activating the intermediary model in Service Management

The intermediary model means that an intermediary, such as an IT supplier or service provider,

• is able to fill out requests for user permits in Service Management on behalf of a client organisation, such as a municipality or wellbeing services county,
• and send them for approval.

The intermediary model makes it easier to fill out user permit requests, which mainly contain technical informatio, when the client organisation is not the party most familiar with the technical content of the request.

If you as an organisation would like a supplier to handle requests for user permits related to Suomi.fi services on your behalf, you can ask the supplier to enable the intermediary feature in Service Management. Please also read the instructions on how to approve a user permit request submitted by an intermediary.

If you as a supplier want to submit requests on behalf of your client, your organisation must

1. register with Service Management
2. invite the necessary people from your organisation to Service Management
3. grant users the rights to access Service Management
4. enable the intermediary model for your organisation.
