How to request a user permit on behalf of a client organisation
Before you will be able to submit user permit requests on behalf of your clients, you must enable the intermediary feature in Service Management.
How to enable the intermediary feature
- Go to the Service Management site and log in.
- Open the My Organisation page from the menu in the upper right corner.
- Go to the Intermediary section
- Select “Add the option for my organisation to act as an intermediary” to enable the intermediary feature.
How to request a user permit as an intermediary
- Select the desired service's user permit request in Service Management.
- Select “Intermediary (acting on behalf of another organisation)” as your role.
- Select “Continue to user permit request”.
- Fill out the request with the required information. You will need contact details and possibly other details from the client organisation for the request, depending on which service you wish to activate.
- Once the request has been filled out, you can preview the request in the last step and, if you wish, give the request a name that makes it easier to identify in list views.
- You can write a message to be submitted to the client with the request and send it to your client for approval by clicking the “Send to client” button.
Complete the request carefully. If there is something in the request that needs to be corrected, the client will contact you. Fill out a new request with the corrected information. You can then resubmit the edited request to the client for approval.
Once the client has approved the request and sent it for processing, the status of the request will change to “Sent”.
You can view your request by selecting the “Requests” page from the menu in the upper right corner. On the page, you will be able to view your own organisation's requests or requests that you have submitted on behalf of other organisations while acting in an intermediary role.
