Browser settings in testing

The effect of the browser settings on the user experience and the functionality of the Suomi.fi identification must be verified in the acceptance testing. Listed below are browser-specific settings in 2024 to test future changes to browser information security and to ensure proper operation.

Browser settings with Firefox

1. Open Firefox settings.
2. Go to "Privacy & Security".
3. Make sure "Strict" is selected.

Browser settings with Chrome

1. Open Chrome settings
2. Go to "Privacy & Security".
3. Select "Third-party cookies".
4. Make sure "Block third-party cookies" is checked (it's probably already on by default).

Browser settings on Safari

Use Safari's default settings.

SLO functionality testing after the browser settings have been checked

1. Open two tabs in the browser.
2. Log in to your own e-service on the first tab.
3. Log in https://testipalvelu.apro.tunnistus.fi/ on the second tab. (When verifying production functionality: https://www.suomi.fi - service can be used.)
4. Log out of the Suomi.fi service.
5. Check that on the (Suomi.fi identification) SLO page for your own service, it says "Logged out" and not "Logging out...".
6. Check that your own service is really logged out, even if it says "Logged out" on the page.

If the logout is not working properly, make the necessary changes to your service as soon as possible.
