Where can the information be utilised?

- FSC data – details of services, service channels and organisations, and service collections – can be utilised anywhere where structured information described in a customer-oriented manner is needed.
Here are a few examples of how data from the Finnish Service Catalogue has been utilised in different services:
Websites
You can retrieve information about your own and other organization's services and service channels to your own website and present it on your website the way you wish.
Chatbots
You can use FSC information in a chatbot to support customer guidance. The chatbot may provide FSC information directly as an answer to the customer or direct the customer to a page displaying FSC information.
For example, the Tiera-Assi chatbot of the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities utilises the FSC’s service location information.
Maps
You can retrieve information about the location, opening hours and other matters of your own or other organisations as well as information about the services available at service locations.
For example, the City of Helsinki retrieves the service location data of Kela, the Tax Administration and many other actors from the FSC to the Service map of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area.
Accessibility information
It is possible to provide accessibility information for service locations in the FSC. Accessibility information can also be retrieved from the FSC’s interface and presented in your own service in connection with the details of the service location.
Management and publication of contact details
It is possible to export and import data from the FSC to systems intended for managing the organisation’s contact details and distributing them to different channels, such as search engines.
For example, the service locations and telephone service channels of South Savo wellbeing services county Eloisa are retrieved through the OUT-interface to Fonecta’s Connect (Kontakti Pro) system, through which they are distributed to Eloisa’s internal systems and to search engines.
Back-end systems for customer advice services
You can also retrieve FSC data for the back-end system from which customer advisors search for information for the customer's needs. For example, the 020202 number service retrieves the telephone service channels of the wellbeing services counties from the FSC for its back-end system, from which customer advisors provide information to customers of the wellbeing services counties who need the contact information.
Enterprise resource planning systems
FSC data can be utilised in the organisation’s enterprise resource planning systems.
For example, the ASTI information system of the Finnish Supervisory Agency's joint service points and service points utilises FSC data for concluding agreements.
The ASTI system retrieves the details of the organisation responsible for the service location and the details of the service point from the FSC and uses the information for concluding the joint service agreement. In the ASTI system, the services described in the FSC that according to the agreement are provided at the service point are also linked to the service point. After this, the enriched information is again imported to the FSC through the IN-interface.
