In the testing phase two security servers are joined to the Suomi.fi Data Exchange Layer’s test environment: security server of the actor that uses services and the actor provides services. Services that are provided are tested by testing messaging between the servers.
Both security servers can be organisations own servers. In this case, one security server will be your organisation’s own (e.g. a security server that uses the service) and the other is owned by another organisation (e.g. a security server providing the service). The meaning is to test the functionality of the entire message thread to ensure that the messages pass in both directions without problems between the server that provides the service and server using the service.
The Data Exchange Layer also provides a few simple test services that allow you to test the operation of SOAP and REST messages on your security server. Read more about the Data Exchange Layer’s test services.
