Suomi.fi Payments is a secure online payment service for the digital e-services offered by public administration organisations.

Convenient online payments in e-services
Suomi.fi Payments, provided by the State Treasury, offer uniform, cost-effective, and secure online payments for the digital e-services provided by public administration organisations, as well as the related centralised support and service management services.
The Suomi.fi Payments service allows end-users to easily make online payments to public administration organisations (e.g. state authorities, wellbeing services counties, and municipalities) when using their e-services.
The Suomi.fi Payments service supports several payment methods, including bank online payments, card payments, and mobile payments
Rights and obligations of use
All public administration organisations are entitled to use the Suomi.fi Payments service. The service is obligatory for the state’s administrative authorities and agencies, institutions and unincorporated enterprises, wellbeing services counties, courts and other judicial bodies, as well as municipal authorities when they perform their statutory duties.
Private sector organisation may obtain access to the service only when they act as a service provider for a public administration organisation. In this case, the State Treasury decides on the right to use the service.
Costs
The use of the Suomi.fi Payments service is subject to a fee. All transaction and commission payments arising from payment transactions, as well as the monthly payments of merchant IDs, are handled centrally at the State Treasury, which then forwards the resulting invoices to its customer organisations.
The public administration organisation is responsible for the costs arising from the deployment of the service, such as the implementation of APIs and integration. In addition, the customer organisation is responsible for the costs generated by its e-service or e-commerce solution.
