Applying for access rights for an individual

An individual who edits and produces content for the Interoperability Platform tools must have the rights required for content production: the access rights of a terminology editor, code list editor or data model editor.

The organisation's main user grants these rights. The precondition is that the organisation whose data you are processing can already be found in the list of users of the Interoperability Platform and that it has a main user.

All content produced on the Interoperability Platform must have an organisation or team responsible for maintaining it. For this reason, registering the Eduuni-ID alone does not yet enable the user to produce content for the tools of the Interoperability Platform. The user’s Eduuni-ID must be linked to an organisation that has been granted access rights for the Interoperability Platform.

To apply for an individual’s access rights, do as follows:

  • Start by registering your Eduuni-ID for the Interoperability Platform. If you have already registered your Eduuni-ID for the Interoperability Platform before, go to step 2.
  • Log into the Interoperability Platform tool that you want user rights for, such as sanastot.suomi.fi. - If you want access rights for more than one tool, submit an access right request for each tool separately.
  • Click “Own information” on the top bar of the tool. In the Reference Data tool, click the menu button in the top right corner of the tool and select “User details” from the drop-down list.
  • The “Own information” page opens (User details page in the Reference Data tool), in which you can view your personal information and the access rights granted to you (Organisations and roles). Click the “New access request” button and in the drop-down menu, select the organisation for whose content you would like to receive the editor rights. In the Reference Data tool, the access rights request button, “Send access request” is directly visible in user details.
  • In the end, click “Send request”. (“Send” button in Reference Data tool.)
  • The access rights request is sent for approval to the main user of the organisation, who will receive information about a new request in their email. You will be notified of an approved or rejected access rights request by email when the organisation’s main user has processed the access rights request.
