Registering an individual’s Eduuni-IDs

An individual producing content for the Interoperability Platform must have an Eduuni-ID for logging into the tools of the Interoperability Platform.

The Eduuni-ID is an email address-based code for identity and access right management. To use the Eduuni services, the user needs to register and confirm their email address. In addition, the user’s first and last name and the name of the organisation are asked in connection with the registration. The login method can be selected by the user.

The following are trusted login methods:

  • the organisation’s own IDs if the organisation is a member of the Haka, Virtu, or eduGAIN identity federation or if the organisation uses Microsoft Office 365 (Azure AD) services
  • ORCID, B2ACCESS, MPASS IDs or ELIXIR AAI IDs
  • Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Microsoft, X or Yahoo! IDs.

All data content produced on the Interoperability Platform must have an organisation responsible for the data. For this reason, registering the Eduuni-ID alone does not yet enable the user to produce content for the tools of the Interoperability Platform. The user’s Eduuni-ID must be linked to an organisation that has been granted access rights for the Interoperability Platform.

How to apply for the Eduuni-IDs

  • Click the "Log in" link in the top right corner of the home page of the tools of the Interoperability Platform.
  • Click "Register" on the screen that opens.
  • Click the "Start Sign Up” on the screen that opens.
  • Enter your work email address, first and last names and your organisation on the screen that opens. In the end, click "Save”.
  • After saving, the following information confirming the creation of the ID will be displayed.
  • You can then log into the Interoperability Platform tools.
