Training available for FSC users

The training provided for FSC users covers such matters as FSC content production, use of the user interface, main user tasks, and interface use. At the clinics, the participants can discuss the use of the FSC and FSC data and ask questions about them. FSC driving licence is an online training course for all FSC users.

All training sessions and clinics are held as remote events. The training sessions and the presentations concerning the use of the FSC data at the clinics are recorded. The discussions at the clinics are not recorded. All training sessions and clinics are in Finnish. The recordings and the presentation material are published on the Finnish-language FSC training website.

FSC driving licence

The best way to get the basic FSC skills is to take the FSC driving licence online. The FSC driving licence is intended for all FSC main users and persons maintaining FSC service data. The online training package has been jointly produced with the HAUS Finnish Institute of Public Management on the eOppiva platform in Finnish and Swedish.

With the FSC driving licence,

• you know how to identify services and service channels and produce information on them for the FSC,
• you know how the FSC user interface is used,
• you know how to write reader-friendly descriptions,
• you know where to find guidelines and instructions to support your work, and
• you understand the wider benefits of the FSC.

At the end of the training, you must take a test and after passing it you receive a certificate detailing your FSC competence. The certificate shows that you are a holder of the FSC driving licence. Completing the training takes between one and two hours. Note that the FSC driving licence contains instruction videos for the user interface. The videos are already partially outdated.
