The codelist can be viewed in the languages that have been defined in codelist information tab. The language of content selected may be different from the language of the user interface. The language of the contents is selected from the menu on the top right (below the choice of language of the user interface). The menu also contains the option "Content in all languages", which displays all the language versions of the codelist in the user interface at the same time.
In addition, a logged-in user sees the “Choose action” menu of the codelist if they have the access rights of a code list editor or main user in the organisation that the codelist belongs to.
The following options are available in the menu:
Field | Description |
|---|---|
Add email subscription | Notification function for following up on changes made to the codelist (i.e. subscribe email notifications). |
Create a code | Creation of new codes manually through the user interface.
If you want to add new codes, you must create a new version of the codelist. The status of the new version will then be Draft and you can add codes to it. Please note that the new version of the codelist will have a new identifier (URI address). |
Import codes | Importing codes with an import file (CSV or Excel).
If you want to add codes to a code set that is already Valid, you essentially need to create a new version of this code set with the status Draft, which you can then edit. |
Update codelist | Updating a codelist with an import file (CSV or Excel). |
Update code statuses | A so-called mass change function means that the status information of all resources in a specific status is changed to another status. For example, all codes with the status Incomplete are changed to Draft. Please note that if you want to change the status of the codes at the same time as changing the status of the entire codelist, you must also separately check the box for that. Changing the status of the codelist alone does not change the status of the codes. |
Attach a variant to codelist | Linking another codelist as a variant to the codelist. |
Create calculation hierarchy | Creating an extension of the type calculation hierarchy. |
Create definition hierarchy | Creating an extension of the type definition hierarchy. |
Create cross-reference list | Creating an extension of the type cross-reference list (code map). |
Import extensions | Importing an extension as an import file (CSV or Excel). |
Delete codelist | Deletion of a codelist, see “Deleting a codelist” for more details. |
In addition, the menu contains functionalities that are used only in special cases (see more detailed information about extensions on the page Codelist extensions.
