Creating a new version of a codelist

You can create a new version of a valid codelist. The old version of the code list will then remain in the Reference Data Tool as it is, but changes can be made to the new version, as necessary: for example, you can delete or add codes, or change the validity period or links. The versioning of a Cumulative codelist is more limited.

When the status of a new version is set to valid, the status of the prior version automatically changes to "Superseded".

Please note that the new version must be given a new identifier, so any links made to the old version must be separately changed for the new version.
