Front page of a concept and term

You can add other terms to a concept by clicking Add new term.

• After this, you can enter the name of the new term and other information on it.
• Also select the language of the term. There can only be one preferred term in each language. 
• When you have finished adding the term and its information, select Accept.
• In the end, click Save to save the additions you have made, so they are stored in the concept’s information.

Click the name of the term (language version) to open the information on the term and edit it.

You can modify the name of the term, mark it as a homonym, and change its type and status.

Scroll down the page to add additional information, scope, a possible corresponding term, and sources for the term.

Next, you can add administrative information, i.e. the change history and information on etymology as well as any administrator’s notes.

To add or edit basic information on the concept, i.e. its definition and theme, scroll down the page.

You can then add and edit the language information of the concept and add notes.

You can also add or edit the example of how the concept is used and the status of the concept.

You can start to add or edit the relationship and hierarchy information on the concept by clicking the Relational information row.

You can then add the following information on the concept:

• broader concept
• narrower concept
• concept related to this concept
• is part of concept (superordinate concept that this concept is part of)
• has part concept (narrower concept that is part of this concept)
• concept related to this concept in other vocabulary
• corresponding concept (match) in another vocabulary
• close match (almost corresponding concept) in other vocabulary
• broader concept in other vocabulary
• narrower concept in nother vocabulary.

You can add concept diagrams and sources to a concept in a similar way.

Add the following to the information on the concept diagram or link:

• name of the link
• web address of the link
• more detailed description of link information (optional information)

Source information is a text field in which you can enter the desired information. There may be several link and source information fields.

You can also edit the administrative information on the concept, which includes the change history, usage history (etymology) and administrator’s notes.

To change the class of the concept, edit the other information on the concept.

In the end, click Save to save your changes.

If you have the right to edit the terminology, you can delete a concept by clicking Delete concept button.

You will also find the following information at the bottom of the front page of the concept:

• which organisation is responsible for the content of the concept
• version information (when the concept was created and when it was last updated)
• web address, i.e. the URI.
