REST API

REST is the newest and most versatile interface for Suomi.fi Messages. All features described in the Functionalities section are available in the REST interface. Each feature’s page provides a brief explanation of how it is used in the REST interface.

When using the REST interface, your organization or the service provider you choose connects to Suomi.fi Messages via a direct connection and calls Suomi.fi Messages unidirectionally.

The technical deployment of the REST interface is described on the Technical Deployment page. Instructions for testing the key functionalities of the REST interface are also compiled under this page.

Unlike other Suomi.fi Messages interfaces, all other technical descriptions of the REST interface have been compiled in a separate API Documentation (api.messages.suomi.fi, in EnglishOpens in a new window.).
