Deployment
If your organisation has an obligation or right to use Suomi.fi Messages, deploy the service according to the deployment process compiled in figure below. The deployment is carried out by connecting your organisation’s service to Suomi.fi Messages.
Please note that the deployment process mainly concerns the REST API of Suomi.fi Messages. If your organisation intends to deploy some other interface of Suomi.fi Messages, the phases may be different. The process may also be shorter if your organisation will use an intermediary for connecting.
The deployment of Suomi.fi Messages is not merely a technical measure. Your organisation must also take into account the business point of view and the impact of the deployment on your processes. It is important for your organisation to discuss for what purpose you should start to use Suomi.fi Messages and into which systems it needs to be integrated. You should also discuss whether you can facilitate your current processes by also deploying the printing, enveloping and distribution service (TKJ service) that works with Suomi.fi Messages. Please note the following matters about the costs of the use and deployment of Suomi.fi Messages:
- Electronic messages can be sent free of charge through Suomi.fi Messages, but your organisation is responsible for the possible costs of paper mail sent through the printing, enveloping and distribution service (request a more detailed price list by email from viestit-kayttoonotot@dvv.fi).
- Your organisation will be responsible for the costs of building the connection.
- If you use standard products, you must find out the cost of using the product from the software provider.
- The maintenance measures of your connection may result in costs (familiarise yourself with the topic in more detail on the Maintenance page).
