As the Digital and Population Data Services Agency does not provide a user interface for organisations, messages are sent and received using Suomi.fi Messages REST API. This API is implemented either in the organisation’s existing system or using standard software.

Many system vendors already offer a ready-made connection to Suomi.fi Messages. This saves organisations’ resources and speeds up service activation. Standard solutions also help meet statutory obligations, primarily in connection with e-government introduction.
