Content production through IN interface

You can import content to the FSC from another system through the IN interface.

How to deploy the IN interface

Checking information content and quality

When the implementation of the IN integration has reached the test phase, the organisation’s FSC main user must check the information content of the data imported to the FSC via the interface. In particular, the main user must check that

  • the service and service channel descriptions are clear, grammatically correct and customer-oriented,
  • the service descriptions do not contain addresses, phone numbers, web addresses or other service channel information,
  • general descriptions have been correctly connected to the services when they have been used,
  • information contained in the general descriptions has not been copied to separate service descriptions but the general description information has been supplemented with an original description
  • all necessary connections have been made between the services and the service channels, the service hours, addresses and other details of the service channels are displayed correctly,
  • the additional connection information between the service and the service channel is displayed correctly,
  • any machine-generated content is easy to understand and customer-oriented.

If errors in any of the above matters are detected, the organisation must correct them directly to the source system.

The FSC main user must prepare a test report and submit it to the Digital and Population Data Services Agency at ptv-tuki@dvv.fi. Based on the test report, the Digital and Population Data Services Agency will decide whether your organisation can be granted IN interface production APIkey.

Maintaining data in the production phase

When the integration has reached the production phase, the data must be maintained in the source system on a regular basis.

The organisation may import some of the data (such as the details of the service locations) through the IN interface and describe the rest in the FSC user interface. However, you cannot supplement the content imported through the IN interface in the FSC user interface because the changes made in the user interface are overwritten when data is imported through the IN interface again.

If the organisation imports, for example, only service locations via the IN integration, the organisation must describe the services and other service channels in the PTV user interface and create connections between the services and the service channels. These connections will not be overwritten when the service location data is imported again.
