Questions related to the organization’s own e-service and Suomi.fi Messages
As a rule, you should also send the decision or other notification to Suomi.fi Messages so that the end-user can receive the information they need as easily and clearly as possible. If sending the matter to Suomi.fi Messages is not possible or does not serve the end-user's needs, you can direct the user to your e-service via Suomi.fi Messages. However, the message content must then include sufficient information on what the matter concerns and where it can be found in the e-service.
We have compiled instructions on how Suomi.fi Messages can support your client organisation’s e-service on the page Taking into account the relationship between Suomi.fi Messages and e-services.
Messages are only visible to end-users in the Messages section of the Suomi.fi Web Service and in the Suomi.fi mobile application. Suomi.fi Messages does not currently offer a feature for displaying delivered messages in the client organisation’s own e-services. However, the POST API enables client organisations to embed forms to be sent on the organisation's own website.
When an end user receives an email notification, they are directed to the Messages section of the Suomi.fi Web Service or the mobile application. If an end user is using the Suomi.fi mobile application, a push notification will direct them to read the message in the app.
It is not possible to direct a person directly to your organisation’s e-service through e-mail notifications. Instead, they must be directed to the e-service in the message content.
If the message you sent contains a link to your organisation’s e-service and you use Suomi.fi e-Identification, the end-user can switch from the Suomi.fi Web Service to your e-service without a new identification. However, the session in the Suomi.fi mobile application is not continuously valid, so the user must re-identify themselves when moving to a website from the mobile application.
